And now for something completely different

In my continued effort to bring the goodness of Southern living to these parts, Connie and I did a pig pickin’ for our church on Sat. (I did the pig, Connie did the fantastic Brunswick stew, others pitched in a few sides of varying authenticity.) I hadn’t done a whole pig in a bunch of years, and I guess I’ve gotten to be a better cook in that time. It turned out great. Here are some pictures of the pig at various stages. If you’re squeamish about seeing your meat before it’s cryovac-ed, you should probably pass.
